Depending on the circumstances in which you first encounter Orpheus, you'll either find him p. cool or extremely annoying. Normally, he's very mild-mannered & polite, speaking in a gentle tone when talking to people, holding doors for others and the like.

Other times, inspiration for a new composition can hit him out of nowhere... and he immediately breaks out into song/lyre solos without warning. While this does scare some people off, he definitely appreciates those who stay around to listen to him play.

On the occasion he is stressed, he'll delve even more into his music, playing himself into a meditating-like trance. Push him too far and he'll probably aggressively twang his lyre incredibly loudly and obnoxiously close to your person.

He enjoys trying out new and different styles of music, so you might often hear odd twing-twanging noises coming from his room in hopes of finding something that sounds cool. Despite his weird antics, when he does play seriously, the result is a mesmerisingly beautiful melody.

Background:
The youngest of two brothers from an average household with hardworking parents, Orpheus' start in music began when his brother taught him how to play the lyre at a young age. He'd always been a relatively quiet child, preferring to dabble in books or playing/listening to music than playing outside. Orpheus studied overseas for his duration of middle school, but returned to Chronos for his last year of high school.
Due to an unfortunate past relationship, he prefers the company of males to females. However that doesn't mean he won't appreciate a cool chiquitita to jam with.

Harmonising -- with anything. be it somebody singing in the shower or screaming or even a fire alarm
Jamming out sweet lyre solos (sometimes at very unsociable hours)
Sudden bursts of inspiration
People who have an appreciation for music, literature, poetry etcetc.
Pretty much any genre of music

-Dislikes:
Bossy/forceful people who interfere with his chill (especially females)
Not understanding jokes (he thinks about them for a long time afterward)
Physically aggressive people or people that use violence to solve problems
People who interrupt his performances

How did you incorporate the myth into your character?
- The mention of his brother.. (mythologically Linus) teaching/introducing him to the lyre.
- It said he studied in Egypt sometime in his life -- links that to him studying overseas.
- ...his preference for male companionship over females due to Eurydice's death.
- Gave him a mullet because... musician (also it looks like he has a mullet in his picture on the wiki??)
- He seemed like a v. peaceful kinda guy, not retaliating with violence even when he was beaten to death by a pack of jealous qurls

Other:
- For all his creative talents, he can't draw... at all. A stick figure with a wonky smile and 3 strands of sticky up hair is probably the best he can do
- Has perfect pitch (able to identify any note just by hearing it)
- Is currently practicing his screamo abilities, but often ends up in a coughing fit
- He has an electric lyre... bbbbrbbBBRAAANGGGG _{jk it only makes electric noise when plugged into an amp}
- Keeps very good care of his lyre -- polishes it errday
- Looks up to his brother a lot
- probably busks outside classrooms or something idk
